This is the new aluminium Clam Shell Roof Top Tent from Mako56 for the 2024 camping season.

Unlike our standard Car Camper roof tent, this new roof tent pops up in a triangular or clam shell shape providing a lot more head height at the entrance to the tent, in addition, this tent offers more protection from buffeting from the wind if parked head-on to the wind’s direction. Ladder can be mounted at the rear door or at either side. Extremely easy to open / close as there is only two clips. This tent weighs 90 KGs.

The roof tent sleeps 2 people.
Measures L 215cm x W 133cm x H 143 cm (open) H 15cm (closed).
The car roof tent inside height when open is 140cm.
Constructed from pure Oxford grey cotton canvas and black & durable aluminium shell
The car roof top tent is waterproof, tear and UV resistant.
Has one door, two windows and an awning.
This roof top tent is best suited to a jeep-type vehicle as it weights 90kgs and will fit on any roof rack.
The roof tent is easily opened by unhooking two metal clips which allows the roof top tent to gently spring open as the roof top tent is fitted internally with hydraulic arms at the rear corners. Extremely easy to close – faster than the standard pop-up Car Camper – as there is only two clips.                                                                                                                                                                        Very thin tent when closed – total closed height is only 15cm / 6 inches.
